    The Ministry of Health has reported that another four people, who were unvaccinated, have died after they were infected with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the disease COVID-19.

    The details on the persons who died are as follow:

    With these additional deaths, October’s death toll stands at 13. Overall, 807 people have died after they were infected with the coronavirus in Guyana since March 11, 2020.

    Meanwhile, another 115 people were infected with the virus and have tested positive for COVID-19. This means that a total of 32,701 people have been infected locally since March 2020.

    These new infections were recorded from: Region Two (five cases), Region Three (18 cases), Region Four (41 cases), Region Five (three cases), Region Six (13 cases), Region Seven (one case), Region Eight (one case), Region Nine (13) and Region 10 (20 cases).

    Additionally, there are 34 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 129 people in institutional isolation, 3,485 in home isolation and two people in institutional quarantine.

    Importantly, a total of 28,246 people have recovered after they were infected with COVID-19.
