    A seven-month-old baby boy is among six new COVID-19 deaths, the Ministry of Health reported on Thursday.

    Those deaths now increase Guyana’s overall death toll to 887; October’s death toll has now moved to 88. All of the deaths recorded were unvaccinated.

    Those are as follows:

    Meanwhile, 74 new infections were recorded over the past 24 hrs after 1,377 PCR tests were conducted.

    With these new cases, the total number of confirmed infections has increased to 34,800.

    These new cases were recorded in: Region One (three cases), Region Two (11 cases), Region Three (10 cases), Region Four (24 cases), Region Five (three cases), Region Six (two cases), Region Nine (two cases) and Region 10 (19 cases).

    There are also 21 patients receiving care in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 109 people in institutional isolation, 3,411 people in home isolation and seven people in institutional quarantine.

    Meanwhile, a total of 30,372 people have recovered after they were infected with COVID-19.
