    Five more people succumbed to the dreaded COVID-19 virus on October 31 increasing the country’s overall death to 925, the Ministry of Health reported on Monday.

    The latest fatalities include four women and one man from Regions Three, Four and Five; four were unvaccinated and the other’s vaccination status was unknown.

    All the patients died while receiving medical care on October 31. These deaths, also mean that 126 people died in October.

     

    Meanwhile, 36 new infections were recorded from a total of 680 tests, taking the total number of confirmed cases to 35, 657.

    Those cases were recorded in Region Two (14 cases), Region Three (four cases), Region Four (12 cases), Region Six (two cases), Region Seven (one case), Region Eight (two cases), and Region Ten (one case).

    There are 13 patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Infectious Diseases Hospital; 57 patients are in institutional isolation and 2, 758 patients are in home isolation.

    Total recoveries to date are 31, 904.
