    Six persons died in the wee hours Saturday following an accident at Ross Village, West Coast Berbice in Region Five.

    The deceased are 28-year-old Joel Jacobs of Sophia, Georgetown: 22-year-old Jamol Lynch of Hopetown; 23-year-old Lindon McFarlane of Bel Air, WCB. Police said they were traveling in motorcar PNN 3526.

    The other victims have been identified as 19-year-old Jashawn Saul of Bel Air, WCB; Keanna Dow of Belladrum, WCB and Gary Blair of Turkeyen, East Coast Demerara.

    One of the vehicles involved in the accident.

    The three-vehicle accident occurred at around 03:00hrs and one of the cars burst into flames upon impact. The News Room understands that one of the victims was completely burnt while bodies were strewn across the road.

    The cause of the accident is not yet known and the News Room will provide more information as it becomes available.
