Nine new COVID cases recorded

Nine new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Thursday after 556 tests were conducted in the last 24 hrs, the Ministry of Health reported.

The new cases take the total number of infections confirmed in Guyana since March 2020 to 71, 331.

These new cases were recorded in Region One (one case), Region Three (one case) and Region Four (three cases), Region Six (four cases).

There are no patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, there are four persons in institutional isolation and 81 persons in home isolation.

Thus far, 69,965 patients have recovered from the virus and 1,281 deaths were recorded.
