Five new COVID cases recorded

Five more persons were infected with COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health’s COVID dashboard on Thursday.

The new cases were recorded after 250 tests were conducted.

These cases take the total number of infections confirmed in Guyana since March 2020 to 71, 336.

These new cases were recorded in Region Four.

There are no patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). However, there are three persons in institutional isolation and 75 persons in home isolation.

Thus far, 69,977 patients have recovered from the virus and 1,281 deaths were recorded.
