One person positive for COVID after 328 tests

One person tested positive for COVID-19 after 328 tests were done over a 24-hour period, the Ministry of Health reported on Friday.

The total number of COVID-19 infections recorded locally since March 2020 is now 71,419.

This latest case is from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica).

Meanwhile, there is one patient in institutional isolation and 24 persons are in home isolation.

Thus far, 70,113 patients have recovered from the virus but 1,281 people have died.
