Another two persons infected with COVID

Two additional persons were infected with COVID-19 after 140 tests were conducted in the last 24 hrs, the Ministry of Health on reported on Thursday in its daily COVID dashboard.

The new cases take the overall confirmed cases in Guyana since March 2020 to 71,560.

These new cases were recorded in Region Four (Demerara- Mahaica).

There are four patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while six patients are in institutional isolation and 92 patients are in home isolation.

A total of 70, 174 patients have recovered after being infected with the disease while a total of 1,284 deaths were recorded.
