Five more COVID cases recorded

Another five persons were infected with COVID-19 after 328 tests were conducted in the last 24 hrs, the Ministry of Health on reported on Friday in its daily COVID dashboard.

The new cases take the overall confirmed cases in Guyana since March 2020 to 71,565.

These new cases were recorded in Region Three (one case) and Region Four (four cases).

There are four patients in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while three patients are in institutional isolation and 101 patients are in home isolation.

A total of 70, 173 patients have recovered after being infected with the disease while a total of 1,284 deaths were recorded.
