Seven more COVID infections recorded

Seven persons were infected with COVID-19 over the past 24 hours after 172 tests were conducted, the Ministry of Health reported on Friday.
The infected persons are from Region One (five cases), Region Seven (one case) and Region Ten (one case).

With these new cases, a total of 71,721 cases have been recorded in Guyana since March 2020.

Meanwhile, there is one patient in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Five persons are in institutional isolation and 200 persons are in home isolation.

To date, 70, 237 persons have recovered after they were diagnosed with the disease, while 1, 285 have died.
