Hand-In-Hand named title sponsor for ‘Big Man’ Over-40 Inter-County

Hand in Hand Mutual Fire Insurance Co. Ltd will be the title sponsor for the Big Man Over-40 Inter-County tournament that commences on November 19 in Berbice and Essequibo.

The Insurance giants is the oldest property insurer in Guyana and is a mutual company (meaning that its policyholders own it) established in 1865.

It is the founding member of the Hand in Hand Group.

According to a release from the organizers, “It is no coincidence that the oldest and first established property insurer in Guyana, HIHF, has now  joined forces with the first established Masters Cricket body in Guyana, BIG MAN CRICKET-GY,  which body administers cricket at the O40s, O50s and O60s age group levels in Guyana.”

The release further stated, “Hand-In-Hand is the insurer of choice for several of the assets and liabilities of these masters’ cricketers and is especially proud to be associated with this premium group in the launch of its inaugural BMC Inter County O40s tournament.

Hand-In-Hand believes that Masters’ cricket has a clearly defined role to play in the overall development of our cricket.”

Big Man Cricket expressed appreciation for the willingness of the business community to partner with the tournament.
