Jumbo Jet hopes to ‘elevate’ Guyana’s development with new heavy-duty equipment

Jumbo Jet Auto Sales is now importing and distributing heavy-duty machinery from the world-renowned Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG) as part of efforts to help advance Guyana’s development.

The company launched its new Land of Canaan, East Bank Demerara showroom of the XCMG machinery on Saturday. Here, Jumbo Jet is showcasing the high-quality graders, rollers, excavators, loaders and other heavy-duty equipment from XCMG that it has to offer.

Marketing Manager Melissa Shariff told the News Room that machinery can be used for agriculture, mining or any type of construction work- all fields expanding locally.

And at the launch of the showroom, she said Jumbo Jet is keen on supporting Guyana’s development.

“As Guyana evolves… we’re here to elevate your business,” Shariff emphasised.

She also highlighted that Jumbo Jet Auto Sales is offering special deals on the machinery at the showroom this month.

Jumbo Jet’s efforts were recognised by the Minister of Labour Joseph Hamilton. According to him, Jumbo Jet Auto Sales is a well-known and trusted Guyanese company and XCMG couldn’t have found a better partner.

Hamilton also opined that the company’s expansion aligns with Guyana’s development since numerous productive sectors are expanding rapidly and there is a growing demand for such equipment. For him, Jumbo Jet is responding to the conducive business environment the government is creating.

Meanwhile, XCMG President of the South American market Sam Shang said the two companies will focus on providing high-quality equipment to the Guyana market. There will also be a huge focus on training as part of a much-needed thrust for skills-transfer.
