Leonora Secondary School student believed to have died by suicide 

Police are investigating the suspected suicide of a 14-year-old student of the Leonora Secondary School, West Coast Demerara (WCD), Region Three.

The teenager died sometime Tuesday afternoon, Police Headquarters said in a statement.

The teenager lived in the school’s dormitory; the body was found by the ‘dorms father.’

Police reported that the teenager was rushed to Leonora Cottage Hospital but was pronounced dead.

The body has been transported to Ezekiel Funeral Home. An autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death.
