Brydens Guyana Incorporated on Thursday announced it is the Master Distributor of Samsung in Guyana when it introduced the brand’s new series of smart appliances.

During the event held at the Atlantic Conference Centre of the Pegasus Corporate Suite, Georgetown, the company’s CEO Natasha Das said they had been Samsung’s Master Distributor for a year and exceeded their targets by almost 100 per cent.

“In our capacity as distributor, we recognize the importance of working closely with our retail partners, and together, we need to streamline the supply chain and reduce costs and enhance the overall efficiency of our operations,” Das said.

Bryden’s collaboration with Samsung allows for access to readily available stock, robust marketing support, and better access for warranty on products.

Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh, during remarks at the event, said access to the warranty for appliances and the ability to get in-country response is a massive improvement for the retail market.

Additionally, Dr Singh said Guyana’s economy continues to grow with international brands making their products available for local consumption.

“I am sure all of us in the room who are Guyanese can think of a family who perhaps ten or 15 years ago had to save up to buy a television.

“Today they probably have multiple television sets,” Dr Singh highlighted the major economic shift, allowing persons to be able to afford appliances they once dreamed of owning.

He appealed to the company to understand their role and responsibility in ensuring that Guyanese consumers enjoy world class customer service as well.

At the event, Samsung unveiled its new Bespoke AI Series, featuring a range of Smart Appliances which include televisions, washing machines, refrigerators, microwaves, to name a few.

These appliances use custom built-in artificial intelligence to aid with energy consumption and are created with high-tech features. Letzea Baca, the Mater Trainer at Sumsung, said the appliances have specific capabilities to fit the lifestyle of its owner.

Samsung has developed this model to ensure that smart appliances can save persons time and money by providing a series of above standard products.
