    Guyana copped four bronze medals at the recently held CAREBACO Junior Individual Badminton tournament in Bridgetown, Barbados.

    Joel Rambiriche medalled in the Boys Under-11 Singles and then teamed up with Liam Brumell to cop third place in the Boys Under-11 Doubles.

    In the Under-19 Mixed Doubles, Guyanese Mishka Beharry and Jamaican Daniel Forde joined forces to cop bronze.

    Akili Haynes and Nkosi Beaton performed coaching duties for team Guyana at the tournament.

    In congratulating the athletes, the Guyana Badminton Association expressed gratitude to the National Sports Commission, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, Squadra, Republic Bank, Meditron Inc, Joe Jagmohan, Ryan Chang, Sol, Dean Hassan, Mings Products and Services, D.Boodhan and Daughter, TFR Computer and Services, Ludic Balloons, Dr. Carpen, MVP Sports, Ocean Spray Hotel, Swiss House Cambio, J. Hillare and Lizanne Atherly for their support in making the trip possible.
