All passenger vessels will have access to WiFi next year – Edghill 

Public Works Minister Juan Edghill announced on Sunday that all passenger vessels will be equipped with WiFi sometime in 2026.

“Early in the new year, the latest, in all of our boats and vessels, we will ensure that passengers and the crew have access to Wifi, whether we use Starlink or WiFiGY,” Edghill said on a video shared on his Facebook page.

The MV Ma Lisha, he said, already offers WiFi access. Moving forward, however, the government wants all of the vessels to have WiFi connectivity.

Several vessels transport people and goods, primarily along the coastal strip. Thousands of people rely on these river transport services daily.
