An Artificial Intelligence-driven education technology company, EduGoal Global, has announced plans to roll out its new digital learning platform across the Caribbean, following a successful pilot in Guyana that signalled the system’s potential to modernise education delivery and management in the region.

The platform, which has already been tested locally, is designed to respond to the realities of Caribbean education systems while aligning with the standards of leading Learning Management Systems used in North America and Europe. Its developers say the goal is to improve data alignment, academic transparency and accountability, while ensuring equity in access to learning tools for students, teachers and administrators.

In Guyana, where disparities in access to educational resources remain a challenge for hinterland and riverain communities, the platform’s ability to function even with limited or no internet connectivity is being viewed as a major advantage. EduGoal Global says this feature allows learning to continue uninterrupted, helping to bridge long-standing gaps between urban and rural schools.

Dr. Donica Thompson, the CEO of EduGoal Global, engages pupils during a fun demonstration of using the program at Cindy’s Academy, Cumming Lodge, Greater Georgetown.

The system is built as a comprehensive, database-driven web and mobile application, intended to serve Education Ministries, school administrators, teachers, students and parents through a single digital ecosystem. It allows for real-time tracking of student progress, lesson planning, assessments and feedback, while also supporting social-emotional learning and professional development for educators.

A defining feature of the platform is its use of AI-powered personalised tutoring, which adapts to individual student needs and learning styles. This is paired with culturally relevant teaching and learning resources that are designed specifically for each country or institution, rather than imported wholesale from foreign education systems. EduGoal Global says this approach ensures that Caribbean students see their own context reflected in the curriculum, improving engagement and learning outcomes.

Beyond the classroom, the platform supports the creation of digital libraries at the school, regional and national levels, placing learning materials within easy reach for both teachers and students. Administrators are able to manage data seamlessly, assess lesson quality and monitor academic performance at the level of individual students, classes or entire schools. A parent portal is also expected to be introduced, strengthening family involvement in children’s education.

Following the Guyana pilot, EduGoal Global plans to introduce the platform in Jamaica and Barbados as part of its wider Caribbean expansion. Each rollout will be customised to reflect the specific needs, policies and conditions of the partner country, a strategy the company believes is essential for sustainable integration.

The platform also places strong emphasis on collaboration and communication, allowing educators, students and families to connect across geographic boundaries. Through real-time support and differentiated instruction, the system aims to promote equitable student success, including for learners with disabilities who require tailored educational plans and resources.

Professional development is another core element, with teachers and administrators able to access consistent, trackable training programmes regardless of their location. Mandatory training modules can be delivered anytime and anywhere, supporting continuous improvement in teaching standards across the region.

EduGoal Global says its solution is practical, scalable and sustainable, making it suitable for government education systems, school districts and private institutions alike. Students can access courses on a wide range of topics using laptops, tablets or mobile phones, and continue learning on the move through the mobile app.

As Guyana continues to invest in education reform and digital transformation, the company’s decision to pilot the platform locally places the country at the centre of a regional shift towards more connected, data-driven and inclusive learning systems.
