Everest Masters produced a ruthless batting display followed by disciplined bowling to register a comprehensive 122-run victory over Lusignan Masters in their T20 encounter at the Enterprise Sports Club Ground on Sunday.

Batting first, Everest piled on an imposing 212-4 from 20 overs. The innings was built around a series of aggressive contributions, led by Shazam Ramjohn, who struck a blistering 51 off 26 balls, smashing six sixes to completely shift the momentum in Everest’s favour.

He was ably supported by Vishwan Lall, whose explosive 47 from just 20 deliveries included three fours and four sixes, while Antonell Atwell provided early impetus with a fluent 27 off 17 balls.

Hemraj Garbarran anchored the innings superbly, finishing with 43 not out from 49 balls, ensuring Everest maintained control throughout.

For Lusignan Masters, Imran Khan was the most economical bowler, finishing with 1-22 from four overs, while Lakeram Dindyal, Vishnu Ramjeet, and Shazam Ali picked up one wicket apiece. However, loose deliveries and 26 extras conceded compounded Lusignan’s struggles.

Chasing a daunting target of 213, Lusignan’s reply never gained traction.

Early wickets left them on the back foot, despite brief resistance from Shazam Ali (15 off 11) and Stephen Alick (14 off nine). Vishnu Ramjeet top-scored with 21, but a lack of partnerships proved costly as wickets fell at regular intervals.

    Everest’s bowlers were clinical.

Lookeshwar Mahabeer delivered an outstanding spell, claiming 3-14, while Anil Beharry matched that effort with 3-11, tearing through the lower order.

Richard Chaturia (1-7) and Trevon Garraway (1-19) also contributed with key breakthroughs as Lusignan were bowled out for 90 in 17.4 overs.

The emphatic win highlighted Everest Cricket Club’s depth and balance, as they once again outplayed their opponents in every department to secure another dominant victory.
