ENet has formalised a new partnership with the Queen’s College Board to launch an internship programme, creating a structured pathway for QC Fifth and Sixth Form graduates to gain practical technology experience and early exposure to professional careers in Guyana’s growing digital sector.

The initiative builds on ENet’s existing internship model, where young professionals are already integrated into active teams and contribute to live projects across the company.

The expanded programme introduces a one-year internship track designed to bridge the transition from academic study to the professional workplace for eligible QC Fifth and Sixth Form graduates. Participants will gain exposure to business technology, infrastructure, and enterprise systems within an environment that operates at international standards.

The Memorandum of Understanding formalising the partnership was signed by Marcel Gaskin, Chairman of the Queen’s College Board, and Vishok Persaud, Chief Executive Officer of ENet. The framework for the programme was developed through collaboration between Pauline Chase and Vishok Persaud, both alumni of Queen’s College, reflecting a shared commitment to reinvesting in the institution that shaped their early academic foundations.

As part of the partnership, ENet also contributed a GYD $1 million donation to support STEM development at Queen’s College, reinforcing the company’s broader commitment to strengthening science and technology education at the secondary level.

Vishok Persaud says the programme reflects ENet’s long-standing approach to talent development: investing early in young professionals and giving them meaningful responsibility.

In recent years, interns within the company have contributed to advanced projects, including AI-driven operational systems developed in collaboration with global technology partners such as Salesforce. These experiences allow emerging professionals to work with modern tools and practices that match global benchmarks while building their careers within Guyana’s technology ecosystem.

“Our priority is to create real opportunities for young professionals to grow,” said Vishok Persaud, Chief Executive Officer of ENet. “When they are trusted with meaningful work and strong mentorship, they develop faster, think bigger, and contribute at a higher level. That benefits the individual, the company, and the country.”

The school’s Principal, Donna Isles hailed the opportunity and encouraged all the students to take advantage of working with such an innovative company.

“It doesn’t matter what stream you’re in, or what you’re studying, you can be part of this internship. It will help you to understand what it is you are doing in the classroom, and how it works,” Isles said.

The Queen’s College Board will assist in promoting the programme among eligible graduates and coordinating applications, while ENet will manage final intern selection and placements.

By connecting academic achievement with industry experience, the internship programme aims to strengthen Guyana’s professional workforce and support the continued evolution of the country’s technology sector. Applications for the first intake are expected to open soon.
