InSync Therapeutics has launched its inaugural ‘Speed Camp’ for elite footballers, marking a strategic pivot toward data-driven athletic development and sports science in Guyana.

The three-day (March 13-15) intensive programme, hosted at the Guyana Football Federation’s National Training Centre in Providence, challenges the traditional view of athleticism by treating speed as a technical, trainable skill.

The camp will be from 10:00h to 12:00h daily.

The curriculum centres on biomechanical analysis and neuromuscular conditioning to optimise player performance on the pitch.

The initiative is spearheaded by Natisha Mokutnauth, physiotherapist for the Guyana senior women’s national team (Lady Jags), and InSync Managing Director Neil Barry Jr. Together, they are introducing methodologies typically reserved for elite professional academies, including objective performance testing and force production analysis.

“This initiative represents an important step toward introducing structured high-performance methodologies to local footballers,” the organising team stated. “By combining physiotherapy with strength and conditioning, we are providing athletes the tools to quantify and develop their physical capabilities.”

The camp arrives as Caribbean sports organisations increasingly look to integrate sports medicine into youth and professional development. By utilising modern performance technologies to monitor acceleration and sprint efficiency, the program seeks to move local coaching away from legacy methods and toward evidence-based results.

To maintain a high standard of instruction, the Speed Camp is restricted to a small, select cohort of players. This allows for a focused environment where each athlete receives individualised feedback based on their specific biomechanical profile.

Beyond physical training, the program emphasises holistic athlete management. The camp features dedicated nutrition, recovery, and hydration stations supported by local partners Deja Brew Cafe, Gateau Catering, and Rainforest Water.

InSync Therapeutics’ broader mission is the long-term integration of applied sports science within Guyana’s competitive landscape. This inaugural camp has garnered significant support from a diverse group of corporate sponsors, including C&L Construction Inc, Royal International Hotel, Jai Signs, Tropixx Patio and Grill, Techlify, and Cornbread Hangout Bar.
