GFF launches nationwide consultations for Youth Ensemble Project

PRESS RELEASE || The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) is pleased to announce the commencement of nationwide consultations with Regional Associations and youth football clubs across Guyana as part of the development of its transformative Youth Ensemble Project focused on the expansion of youth club football.
This initiative represents a strategic step toward strengthening the foundation of youth club football nationwide. Through these consultations, the GFF aims to engage key stakeholders directly, gather insights, and ensure that the structure and delivery of the Youth Ensemble Project reflect the realities, needs, and ambitions of communities across all regions.
The consultation process will focus on identifying opportunities to enhance player development pathways, improve coaching standards, and expand access to structured football programmes for boys and girls at the youth club football level.
GFF President Wayne Forde emphasised the importance of inclusive collaboration in shaping the future of football in Guyana.
“This consultation process ensures that our Youth Ensemble Project is not only visionary, but also practical and inclusive. By working closely with our Regional Associations and youth football clubs, we are building a system that reflects the voices of our football community and creates meaningful opportunities for young people across the country.”
The Youth Ensemble Project is designed to align with the Federation’s broader mission to develop, govern, and promote football at all levels, while creating sustainable pathways for talent identification, education, and long-term athlete development.
Consultations are expected to continue over the coming weeks, after which the Federation will finalise the project framework and begin phased implementation.
The GFF remains committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure that football continues to serve as a powerful platform for youth empowerment, national unity, and community development.
