The ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL) is pleased to confirm the participation of the Desert Vipers, the reigning champions from the DP World International League T20 (ILT20), in the 2026 edition of the tournament.

The tournament will take place from 23 July to 1 August 2026, with all matches held at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence, a world-class venue for this landmark global competition.

The inclusion of the Desert Vipers further strengthens the league’s vision of bringing together top franchise teams from around the world to compete in a truly global T20 event.

The 2026 tournament will showcase elite cricketing talent and deliver a unique, high-quality experience for fans in Guyana and across the globe.

The Desert Vipers are the most successful team in ILT20 history, reaching three finals in its four-year history and winning more matches than any other team. Their participation underscores the Global Super League’s commitment to assembling a world-class lineup of teams that reflect the diversity and excellence of modern franchise cricket.

“We are delighted to welcome the Desert Vipers to the ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League,” said Sir Clive Lloyd, GSL Chairman. “Their presence adds tremendous quality and international appeal to the tournament. This is exactly what the GSL is about – uniting top teams from across leagues and creating a global stage for the game’s best talent.”

Guyana’s rich cricketing heritage and passionate fan base make it an ideal host for the tournament. With all matches taking place at Providence, fans can look forward to an exciting festival of cricket in a single iconic venue.

“The Global Super League is designed to celebrate the spirit of cricket across borders,” added Sir Clive Lloyd. “Welcoming a team of the Desert Vipers’ calibre is a significant step in building a tournament that resonates with fans worldwide.”

“The Desert Vipers are proud to be participating in the third edition of ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League,” said Desert Vipers CEO Phil Oliver. “By assembling successful teams from around the world the tournament has quickly developed into a premium T20 event and we are honoured to be sharing the field with a great group of diverse and talented players.

“We hope to put on a show for the passionate cricket fans of Guyana, both inside and outside the stadium – this a brilliant opportunity to increase the social impact we make as a community-orientated franchise through additional opportunities in a new location, as well as celebrate the immense biodiversity in Guyana.” (GLST20)
