The fourth instalment of the One Guyana T10 Tapeball Blast will reach a new high in terms of cash prize payouts, with over G$8 million up for grabs alongside high-quality trophies.

In a move to further professionalise the grassroots format, organisers have introduced a quarter-final payout for the 2026 season.

Each zone winner will now pocket $500,000, and by advancing to the National Finals, teams can compete for an additional $2 million for first place, $1 million for second place, or $500,000 for each of the losing semifinalists.

This structure effectively increases the overall winning prize to $2.5 million, while the overall runner-up will take home $1.5 million. The two losing semi-finalists at the National Finals will walk away with a combined $1 million overall.

In an effort to remain player-centred, organisers FL Sport have expanded rewards for teams that fall short of the final stage. The losing finalist at the zone level will receive $200,000, while the losing semi-finalists get $50,000 each.

For the first time in the tournament’s history, losing quarter-finalists will also be rewarded with $25,000 each.

Beyond team prizes, individual excellence will be heavily incentivised with a suite of cash awards: Most Valuable Player ($150,000) + motorbike, Most Runs ($100,000) + television, Most Wickets ($100,000) + television, Player-of-the Final ($75,000), Super Strike Rate ($50,000) and Best Economy Rate ($50,000).

Non-monetary prizes are also on the cards for players recording the most dot balls, sixes, and fours.

Tournament Director John Ramsingh noted that the mission has always been to provide a platform for talent to be rewarded.

“Without question, we have one of the highest cash payouts for any tournament within the Caribbean,” Ramsingh stated, adding that interest from regional counterparts to compete in Guyana continues to grow.

Registration for the 80-team tournament opens in early May with a $35,000 fee, and teams can register for any zone.

The competition will maintain its straight knockout format across four zones: Berbice, East Bank/West Demerara, Essequibo, and Georgetown/East Coast Demerara.

The tournament is scheduled to run from early August to mid-October, with the National Finals set for the brand-new Anna Regina National Stadium.

In addition to the prize money, zone winners will earn an automatic spot in the upcoming Global T10 Tapeball tournament.
