Cocaine, ganja found in Mahdia Arcade 

Quantities of suspected cocaine and cannabis were found in the Mahdia Arcade, Region Eight, on Sunday.

Police Headquarters, in a release, said the narcotics were found during an exercise conducted between 09:40hrs and 10:10hrs.

During the exercise, ranks conducted a search at Mahdia Arcade, during which a bulky black plastic bag containing leaves, seeds, and stems suspected to be cannabis was found concealed between two plastic barrels. Further checks revealed a small transparent plastic bag containing a whitish, cube-like, brick-shaped substance suspected to be cocaine.

The suspected cannabis and suspected cocaine were escorted to the Mahdia Police Station, where they were weighed and amounted to 260 grams of suspected cannabis and 30 grams of suspected cocaine before being lodged.

No arrest was made. Investigations are ongoing
