Lusignan prison escapee captured, arrested after two weeks
Police have captured and arrested Adrian Damder nearly two weeks after his escape from the Lusignan Prison.
According to police, the 34-year-old resident of Graham Street, Better Hope, East Coast Demerara had escaped from the prison sometime between 08:00 hrs and 16:00 hrs on Sunday, May 17, 2026.
Acting on information received, ranks went to a location at Goedverwagting, East Coast Demerara at approximately 00:20 hrs on Saturday, May 30, 2026, where Damder was then located and arrested.
He is currently being held at the Sparendaam Police Station as investigations continue.
