Motorcyclist dies in Crabwood Creek accident

A motorcyclist passed away after crashing into a stationary vehicle on the Crabwood Creek road, Corentyne Berbice on Sunday evening.
The deceased is Vinode Deo, 22, who was part of the Community Policing Group and resided at Lot 126 Grant 1805, Crabwood Creek, Corentyne Berbice.
It has been reported that Deo was riding his motorcycle on the Crabwood Creek road when he collided with a parked Tapir.
He suffered injuries from the crash and was taken to the Number 75 Regional Hospital, where he was declared dead. Deo sustained injuries to his head and other parts of his body.
Deo’s mother, Shavnie Motiram told the News Room that at around 15:30 hours, after she returned home from work, she tried calling him to tell him to come back home since he was hanging out nearby. She mentioned that he assured her he would return, but he never made it.
Motiram recalled receiving a heartbreaking call about the accident around 18:00 hours. By the time she arrived at the hospital, her son had already passed away.
Motiram raised concerns about the issue of old vehicles parked along the side of the road.
“Is a old tapir. People should really move out them stuff like that. Sell out the old parts to the old iron company. The Government should look into that,” Motiram stated.
She said the family is having a hard time coping with the loss of her son.
Deo was remembered as a cheerful person. He is survived by his parents, brother, relatives, and friends.
