The Bahamas female basketball team emulated their male counterparts by winning the Caribbean Basketball Confederation (CBC) female under-16 championships with a 55-50 win against Suriname when the curtains came down on the tournament on Saturday evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall in Georgetown, Guyana.
While many of the North East La Penitence fans felt jilted by the 2-1 penalty shootout loss to Tucvillein the final of tournament in the wee hours of Monday at the Ministry of Education ground, the penalty in slow motion actually shows that Tucville’s win of the Ministry of Public Health Soft Shoe tournament was legitimate.
Guyana Amazon Warriors and Jamaica Tallawahs will go head-to-head this evening in an important game for each team at Sabina Park. While the Warriors are on the cusp of qualifying for the playoffs, Tallawahs are looking for a win to establish themselves on a points table that is becoming increasingly cramped in the middle.
