Set-back by the dreadful hurricane Matthews that wreaked havoc in the Caribbean last week, Theodore ‘Tappa’ Whitmore, Head Coach of the Jamaica Senior National Football Men’s Football team, believes that the Reggae Boyz will hold their own against Guyana when they clash tomorrow. It will be the Jamaicans first match in the CFU Caribbean Cup this year and as defending Champions, Whitmore said that much is at stakes.
Guyana suffered a 3 – 2 defeat to arch rivals Suriname on Saturday, but Golden Jaguars Head Coach Jamaal Shabazz and Captain Chris Nurse believes that the result is behind them and will now turn their attention to their all-important clash against CFU Caribbean Cup title-holders Jamaica. The Golden Jaguars will roar against the Reggae Boyz tomorrow at the Leonora Track and Filed Centre from 20:00 hours or 8:00pm

Head coach of the Golden Jaguars Jamaal Shabazz, believes that the composition of his squad is good enough to see Guyana past Suriname and Jamaica in the third round of the CFU Caribbean Cup. Guyana will play Suriname on Saturday and would then return home for a clash against defending Caribbean Cup Champions Jamaica on October 11 at the Leonora Track and Field Centre.
