The Guyana Cricket Board on Wednesday afternoon unveiled the second annual Inter-Secondary Schools cricket competition, geared at working as a feeder to the national system. Sport Minister Nicolette Henry and representatives of some schools were on hand to hear of plans for the 2016 edition of the tournament.

Territorial Development Officer of the Guyana Cricket Board, Colin Stuart, has said that while there were many positives derived from the hosting of the inaugural Jaguars Franchise League Three-day competition, there are areas that need attention going forward. In an exclusive interview with News Room Sport, Stuart reflected on the tournament, stating that it was an overall success.
President of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Wayne Forde is adamant that the principles behind the deal made to sell Guyana’s hosting rights for the infamous game against Mexico in 2012, will be brought to justice if any discrepancies are found.
